Product Description -
Dark Essence Records is proud to present one of our most recent signings, black-folk metallers GALAR. Hailing from Bergen, Norway, GALAR is a two-man band that makes use of guest artists from various musical disciplines, as well as an unusual array of instruments including bassoon, grand piano, double bass, cello, viola and violin. Combining haunting melodies with blast beats and grim vocals, GALAR creates a sound that is evocative of the traditions of both black metal and folk music. For "Til Alle Heimsens Endar" the band has produced a concept album based around the history of the Viking kings who ruled GALAR’s home county of Vestfold. "Til alle heimsens endar" translates into “until the ends of all worlds”. The concept is taken from Snorri Sturluson's "Heimskringla", the best known of the sagas of the old Norse Viking kings. Whilst the lyrics are all in Norwegian, the booklet contains introductory notes in English explaining the concept, together with an explanation for each song. Aside from GALAR members M. Kristiansen on screams, guitars and bass, and A. B. Lauritzen on clean vocals, bassoon and grand piano, the line up for "Til Alle Heimsens Endar" includes Phobos (GRAVDAL, AETERNUS, MALSAIN) on drums, Ricardo Odriozola on first and second violins, Hans Gunnar Hagen on viola, Siri Hilmen on cello, Morten Nome on double bass, and Cecile Langlie on female vox. “Til Alle Heimsens Endar” was recorded in Conclave & Earshot Studios (Taake, Helheim, Gorgoroth, Enslaved, etc.) and produced by Bjornar E. Nilsen (Vulture Industries, Black Hole Generator).

(we make this disclaimer as some collectors are looking for a specific outer case type). The outer casing is replaceable and has no value and is provided within this sale as packaging only. we make this disclaimer as the outside sleeve casing can be damaged or scratched, and for this reason, the outer casing is not offered as part of this sale as the Buyer can easily replace the outer casings for the inner sleeve and CD.
