Product Description -
POLTERGEIST was founded in 1987 out of the ashes of Swiss Speed-Metal pioneers CARRION, POLTERGEIST released two well acclaimed demo tapes and played quite a lot of shows in their home country Switzerland and in nearby Germany. After one of these shows where they played with HADES and DESPAIR, Robert Kampf (then Singer for DESPAIR and owner of the freshly started label CENTURY MEDIA) decided to offer POLTERGEIST a record contract. From 1989 to 1993 they released 3 albums and played shows and tours with bands  like DESTRUCTION, KREATOR, SODOM, TANKARD, CORONER, WHIPLASH. After the last tour in 1993 with CORONER the band split up and partly transformed into GURD. In 2013 POLTERGEIST reformed and recorded and released  two new studio albums in 2016 and 2020. The Poltergeist ‘The Demos’ cd release contains: Demo 1987 (produced by V.O. Pulver (Gurd / Messiah and especially Destruction home producer) and Schmier (Destruction) & Demo 1988 ‘Writing on the Wall’ with special guests Schmier and Harry (Destruction) . Artwork by Roberto Toderico (Asphyx, Sinister, Hexx). Extensive liner notes by Olivier ‘Zoltar’ Badin (Dark Funeral, Cathedral) and rare old pictures. All tracks remastered by VO Pulver (Destruction, Messiah, Pro Pain).

While we ship all items with some outer casing, such as a digipak, jewel case, cardboard casing, or plastic sleeve, for this specific sale we are selling only the inner paper sleeve and CD only, as specifically outlined in the description of this listing. (we make this disclaimer as some collectors are looking for a specific outer case type). The outer casing is replaceable and has no value and is provided within this sale as packaging only. we make this disclaimer as the outside sleeve casing can be damaged or scratched, and for this reason, the outer casing is not offered as part of this sale as the Buyer can easily replace the outer casings for the inner sleeve and CD.
