This record paints McColgan and his brethren as transcendent forces in what many people feel is a stagnant (punk) rock scene. This is a band without limits, un-labelable and accessible to everyone yet true to themselves and their roots all along the way. Americana, classic rock, country, tinges of punk rock, wrapped up in an uplifting folk, or even gospel backdrop, just without all the hand clapping. The advance copies of this album that went out alongside the single for “Some Folks” are being hailed universally. For more than just STREET DOGS and DROPKICK MURPHYS fans, these tunes are going to make people VERY excited, and consistently prompt one question: Will FM359 save us all and go on tour, bringing this revival to the streets?
