Melding elements of metal, hardcore, jazz, pop, country and dub the bands new masterpiece picks up where their old masterpiece “Adultery” left off.

Since its inception in 1996 DFD has been a band that has strived to push musical boundaries and challenge listeners.
Sweet Nothings is no different. Recorded at Wrightway Studios in Baltimore Maryland and produced by Steve Wright, Sweet Nothings is a well calculated exercise in musical fusion.

Kicking things off with “Greta”, a hauntingly beautiful piano melody driven by vocalist Todd Smith’s unforgettable breathy vocals, Sweet Nothings will immediately hypnotize listeners.
”End of the Road” is a musically ambitious number that seamlessly combines Johnny Cash style country, dub reggae and stoner metal.

“Envy the Vultures”, “We Aren’t the World” and “Pale Horse” are vintage DFD at their most twisted and heavy.
“Tastes So Sweet” and “Struck By Lightening” take the band back to their ska roots.

Sweet Nothings is a no-holds barred roller coaster ride written by some very talented people working at the height of their creative powers.
